Earlier today we lost connectivity to our main servers in Singapore, as a result DNS email and all of the itsfido hosted sites except for the .co.uk site are offline. Unfortunatly this server was also hosting the DNS for maikuando.tv which is actually hosted off site.

Web and DNS has now been restored, mail will remain off line for the moment.

Update

The outage was caused by one of our backup MX being hijacked and was sending out mass spam email, which resulted in the provider (correctly) disconnecting the line.

The offending mail server has now been shut down and firewalled off as a precaution. We have discovered around 47,000 emails stuck in the queue on that server.

We apologise to anyone who has recieved spam which was routed via our server.

Due to some routing issues at Fused Networks recently our London Telehouse operation is now being routed out via Level-3.

As a result of this re-routing there will be some minor increases in latency to and from our London Telehouse services (All X330 services and the UK VPN).

This is expected to be a temporary measure and we will update this page when possible.

No other services are affected.

Welcome to our new look website, today marks the start of the first site in the XyFi Project!.

We have completed a series of changes to our core routing tables on our Virtual Global Carrier Network which affects the way we handle Asia Pacific traffic.

We now route the majority of traffic from Europe to Asia via our VGCN to Singapore instead of via open circuits in the US. The VGCN provides us with an encrypted and compressed transit between Europe and Asia Pacific and should in the majority of cases reduce the latency and improve the throughput between sites.

Over the next month we will continue to migrate our transit from open circuits and legacy VPNs onto our VGCN, during this time users may experience a minor, brief decrease in performance to some networks while they are migrated.
